TOWN OF ROME, WI (WSAU-WAOW) — Five Wisconsin teenagers have been arrested by the Rome Police Department for numerous drug charges.
WAOW TV reports that 19-year-old Kaitlyn La Chapelle, 18-year-olds Courtney La Chappelle, Cody Sullivan and Taytum Pegelow of Wisconsin Rapids along with 19-year-old Rati Abdui of Rome were all arrested on July 9th. The teens tried to send seven pounds of marijuana through the US Postal service to the 300 block of Spring Trail in the town of Rome
The Rome Police Department was on the scene when the package was delivered. In searching the surrounding area and vehicles the police also found items that could have been used for the sale and distribution of pot.
Requested charges for the teenagers include possession of marijuana with intent to deliver, possession and intent to deliver as a party, bail jumping, and possession of prescription medication without a prescription.
