STEVENS POINT, WI (WSAU) — An Amhurst man has pleaded “no contest” to charges relating to a child abuse case.
Matthew Huettl age 27 pleaded no contest to charges of 2nd-degree reckless injury, and disorderly conduct as a repeat domestic abuser. The no contest plea makes Huettl guilty of both charges, one a felony and the other a misdemeanor. His charge of child abuse was dismissed but could be considered for his sentencing.
The charges stemmed from an incident in September 2016 when Huettle shook or hit his girlfriend’s infant son that it caused bleeding in the brain.
