MILWAUKEE, WI (WSAU) — Nobody has made more trades in major league baseball than Seattle Mariners GM Jerry DiPoto. And now he’s made one with the Milwaukee Brewers.
On Friday the Brewers sent outfielder Domingo Santana to Seattle in exchange for outfielder Ben Gamel and pitcher Noah Zavalos.
The 26 year old Gamel hit .272 in 101 games for Seattle last season. David Stearns says he likes his left-handed bat and he “provides a solid fit for our roster”.
Zavalos had been targeted by the Brewers in the 2018 Amateur draft before Seattle took him in the 18th round. He had an ERA of 3.09 in Single-A last season.
