STEVENS POINT, WI (WSAU-WAOW) — 66 employees could be laid off from the Stevens Point location of a media firm.
F+W Media Inc. is looking to close its Stevens Point location by this May according to a news release obtained by WAOW-TV from the Wisconsin Department of Workforce Development. If the location does close, 66 employees would lose their jobs. Those employees are mainly editors and graphic designers.
The company CEO says after filing for bankruptcy the company has experienced a period of financial difficulty.
If the company can’t secure a buyer, the CEO says the Stevens Point location will close.
