WAUSAU, WI (WSAU-WAOW) — A man from Irma is planning a kite event for Easter Sunday.
Ross Karaba along with the Wausau Airport has set up a kite flying event that will be on Sunday. Originally Karaba said the event was going to be for family and friends. But that the airport encouraged him to open the event up to the public.
Karaba was happy to open the event up as he told WAOW-TV that he wanted to share his love of kite flying with others. “I’ve been flying kites since I was a little kid. So every chance I can I love to do that. I just wanted to share that with everybody else and whatever other kids who are out there that want to do this.”
Karaba will be bringing some of his own personal kites to the event for kids to fly. He also encourages those coming to bring their own kites and have fun as well.
The event will start around noon on Sunday and will last until 4 PM weather depending.
