MERRILL, WI (WSAU) — Another change is coming to the Merrill City Council.
District 6 Alder David Sukow has resigned according to Merrill Mayor Derek Woellner. Sukow submitted his letter of resignation to Woellner on Friday, August 2nd.
Sukow has served on Merrill’s City Council for well over a decade along with serving on several citizen committees. Options to address the District 6 vacancy will be discussed at the next Merrill City Council meeting on August 13th.
Sukow was one of the 5 Merrill alders involved in the recall election on July 16th. Sukow ran unopposed for his seat and stayed on the city council.
