WAUSAU, WI (WSAU) — One of the four teens accused of beating a Wausau boy with a baseball bat has entered a plea.
Jordan Meyer pleaded not guilty to two counts of child abuse intentionally causing great bodily harm with a dangerous weapon. Meyer will be headed to trial in 2020 with a pre-trial conference scheduled for January 7th.
Police say Meyer and three others, 17-year-old Michael Hrobsky and 15-year-old Brendan Griffin along with an unidentified 16-year-old boy ambushed another teen over a drug robbery.
The teens say the victim stole $40 worth of drugs from Hrobsky, and the attack was retaliation.
Meyer is currently being held at the Marathon County Jail on a $150,000 cash bond. He will return to court on January 7th.
