WAUSAU, WI (WSAU) — Tuesday’s record snowfall has not only forced the cancellation of the are high school athletics schedules, but also government meetings.
Officials in Merrill have postponed tonight’s Common Council meeting to next Monday evening at 6.
In Wausau, the city Finance Committee meeting, special Committee of the Whole meeting, and regular Common Council meeting have all been rescheduled to February 19th.
Officials in Schofield have also postponed all committee meetings (Finance, Parks and Recreation, Water/Sewer, and Judiciary) along with tonight’s Common Council meeting. A make-up date for those meetings has not been set.
Meanwhile, a Portage County Land and Conservation Committee meeting has been postponed with no makeup date announced.
The city of Wausau has also announced that due to the duration of the snow event the city’s snow emergency has been extended to Wednesday at 12:00 PM.
