MARSHFIELD, WI (WSAU-WAOW) – An addiction counselor was sentenced for giving drugs to a woman at a church.
Benjamin Hardy, 53, was sentenced to two years probation. He was found guilty of giving the woman hydrocodone on June 19, 2018. Hardy ran a support group in Marshfield that helps addicts.
Hardy was ordered to have absolute sobriety, seek treatment, and work or go to school full time. He won’t serve any jail time if he completes the terms of his probation.
According to the blog for Crossroads to Recovery, the support group Hardy and his wife run, it was founded in 2014 in Marshfield.
