MILWAUKEE, WI (MetroSource-WSAU) — The Milwaukee Brewers are dipping into the free-agent market to sign catcher Yasmani Grandal.
The Athletic reports the 30-year-old backstop has agreed to a one-year, 18.25-million-dollar deal with Milwaukee. Grandal hit .241 with 24 home runs for the Dodgers last season.
Because Grandal turned down a qualifying offer, the Brewers would forfeit their third-highest draft pick this year, which would be around #105.
