WISCONSIN RAPIDS, WI (WSAU) — A motorcycle versus deer accident backed up traffic along Highway 34 near the Highway 66 intersection north of Wisconsin Rapids Thursday morning.
Wood County Sheriff’s Officials say the motorcycle was traveling southbound on 34 when the deer darted into the roadway in front of him.
The driver was airlifted to Marshfield Medical Center by Life Link III. He was the only person involved in the incident. No update on his condition has been given.
Officials say alcohol and speed were not factors in the crash. Reporting agencies included the Wood County Sheriff’s Office, Wisconsin State Patrol, Wisconsin Rapids Police Department, and Rudolph Fire Department and First Responders.
