MILWAUKEE, WI (WSAU) — The Pittsburgh Pirates beat the Milwaukee Brewers 3-2 on Friday night at Miller Park.
The Brewers led most of the game before the bullpen faltered again. Junior Guerra and Jeremy Jeffress walked batters in the 8th and 9th innings and they both scored.
Lorenzo Cain and Eric Thames drove in the Brewers runs in the first inning.
The two teams play again tonight. Pregame show at 6:40 on WSAU.
The Brewers also made a bunch of roster moves on Friday. Travis Shaw was optioned to Triple A San Antonio and Hernan Perez was designated for assignment. Jimmy Nelson was placed on the IL with fluid on his pitching elbow.
Keston Hiura, Tyler Saladino and Corbin Burnes were recalled from Triple A.
