WESTON, WI (WSAU) — The new Weston location of Your CBD will hold their grand opening event on Saturday, March 9th.
Your CBD is a national chain with franchises across the state of Wisconsin. But the first local location in Weston has been open for about a month according to franchise owner Morgan Trone. Trone said they wanted to wait to hold the grand opening until the weather warmed up a little. But as there is still snow in the forecast for Saturday night, Saturday seemed as good a time as any for a grand opening.
The location carries a wide variety of CBD and hemp-based products according to Trone. “We carry water solubles, which are drops that you can add into a beverage. We, of course, carry the tinctures or supplemental drops. We do have our topical relief cream that has been very popular for any areas that you can target for inflammation or pain. Of course, we have gummies and capsule forms.”
Trone says people come in for CBD and hemp products for a number of reasons. “A lot of times chronic pain, anxiety, stress. We do have people that have migraines that are using the CBD. Depression, arthritis, a good mix of things. Insomnia is a big one that we hear about often. Just coming and getting some information and knowledge on what product would be best.”
Hemp was taken off the Federal Controlled Substance Act back in December of 2018. Which allows for hemp and CBD products to be sold legally across the country. While the substance is no longer controlled, the products aren’t regulated by the FDA. But Trone says their stores pride themselves in providing plenty of research on the products and working with a doctor who has a Ph.D. in analytical chemistry.
“We do pride ourselves in having lab reports available and we’re third party tested. Our product is self-regulated and we do have backing from some physicians and business owners. So that’s wonderful. We do have a doctor that works on staff with our stores who has a Ph.D. in analytical chemistry. So we’re able to get a lot of education and background from him.”
The grand opening for the Weston location will be on Saturday from 10 AM to 6 PM. The store will have refreshments and be holding a raffle for a Yeti brand cooler during the event. Trone and her husband also own Your CBD locations in Waupaca and Oshkosh. While other locations of the store are in Stevens Point, Appleton, and Ripon.
