PLOVER, WI (WSAU) — A major big-box retailer will be undergoing renovations in Plover.
Over the next several weeks the Walmart in Plover will be remodeling. Store manager Teri McClone told the Stevens Point Journal the store remodel begins on May 20th. A grand reveal of the finished renovations is scheduled for August 9th.
Around $60 million in new technology and upgrades are coming to Walmarts around Wisconsin. Eleven stores are getting this remodel including the one on 250 Crossroads Dr. in Plover.
New changes to the store will include a Pickup Tower to fulfill online orders at the grocery entrance, grocery pickup will be added to the store, and the fish tanks will be removed.
Expanded departments include a cutting table for the fabric department, the grocery department, and the electronics and tools departments.
The store will remain open during the summer remodel. No hours will be modified either according to McClone.
