BOULDER JUNCTION, WI (WSAU) — Charges have been filed this month against a teenager who caused a deadly accident in January.
19-year-old Tyler Metz of Poplar, is facing charges of homicide by vehicle while using a controlled substance, causing injury and operating under the influence, possession of narcotic drugs, and possession of meth for a fatal hit and run on Highway 51. An arrest warrant has also been issued for Metz.
The two-car crash that occurred on January 23rd, 2019 killed a man and critically injured his daughter. At the crash, EMS found a box of cigarettes on Metz that contained white pills and methamphetamine. Court documents say that the surviving victim said Metz crossed the center line prior to the crash.

The arrest warrant for Metz was issued on May 14th. Future court dates will be set when Metz has been taken into custody.
