WAUSAU, WI (WSAU) — The Marathon County Sheriff’s Department is asking for the public’s help to find two men who’ve been threatening illegal immigrants.
According to a news release, two Hispanic men used guns to threaten undocumented Hispanic families. Investigators say the men are demanded money and made threats if they weren’t paid.
Officials say one suspect is tall and skinny with a long face. The other man is shorter and heavy‐set with a long mustache, but is missing facial hair directly under his nose. The men were seen driving a black Ford F‐150 or F‐250 with no topper.
In the news release, sheriff’s investigators say people who are not in the county legally can still come forward with information without fear of repercussion. “We are not seeking to know whether you are in the United States legally. The actions of the perpetrators are illegal and law enforcement exists to investigate all criminal acts.”
