GREEN BAY, WI (MetroSource-WSAU) — Mason Crosby’s chip-shot field goal as time expired lifted the Green Bay Packers to a 23-22 win over the Detroit Lions on Monday Night Football at Lambeau Field.
Aaron Rodgers threw for 282 yards and two touchdowns as Green Bay overcame a 22-13 deficit in the fourth quarter. Jamaal Williams rushed for 104 yards for the Pack, who trailed 13-0 before trying the game early in the third quarter.
The Packers capitalized on two questionable hands to the face penalties against the Lions’ Trey Flowers to come back and win. One negated a sack that would have forced a fourth-down punt and the other helped run down the clock before Crosby’s winning kick. Green Bay snapped a four-game skid against Detroit to improve to 5-and-1.
Matthew Stafford passed for 265 yards for the Lions, who lost their second straight to slip to 2-2-1.
