MADISON, WI (MetroSource-WSAU) — Robbery may be the motive behind the killing of a UW doctor and her husband.
The D.A. in Madison filed formal charges yesterday against Khari Sanford and Alijah Larrue. Investigators say Sanford was dating doctor Beth Potter’s daughter, and living in an apartment that the doctor paid for when he decided to kidnap her. Robbery may be the motive.
Prosecutors say they found Potter and her husband at the UW Arboretum in their pajamas. They had been shot at least once. Both Sanford and Larrue are being held on a million-dollars bond.
