PASADENA, CA (MetroSource-WSAU) — Justin Herbert scampered for a 30-yard touchdown in the fourth quarter as Oregon clipped Wisconsin 28-27 in the Rose Bowl in Pasadena. Herbert ran for three touchdowns on the day, and also threw for 110 yards and a pick.
The Ducks took advantage of four Wisconsin turnovers and the Badgers had 9 penalties for 79 yards.
Badger punter Anthonly Lotti dropped a snap and Brady Breeze returned it for a touchdown right before halftime. The Badgers led the game before Danny Davis fumbled with just over seven minutes left and Herbert ran it for a touchdown on the next play
Jack Coan threw for 186 yards, a touchdown and an interception for Wisconsin. Aron Cruikshank had a 95 yard kickoff return for a touchdown.
Jonathan Taylor rushed for 94 yards on 21 carries for the Badgers and went over 2000 yards for the second consecutive season.
The Ducks finished the season 12-2 while the Badgers were 10-4.
