MADISON, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — On Sunday just 9,978 test results are being reported by the state Department of Health Services with 957 positive results.
The total testing results from Sunday is down from Saturday’s 14,201 results, while the 957 positive results is up from the 953 that was reported Saturday.
The 957 positive results from Sunday accounts for 9.6% of the total results from the day, which is up from Saturday’s 6.7%.
One new death is being reported by the DHS on Sunday, bringing the death toll to 892.
Since the start of the pandemic, in Wisconsin, 866,376 total people have been tested with 817,549 negative test results and 48,827 positive cases.
The DHS is also reporting 37,971 recoveries of COVID-19 and 9,946 active cases, down from the 17,636 reported active cases on Saturday.
There are 312 total COVID-19 patients receiving hospital care with 60 of those patients in intensive care units, according to the Wisconsin Hospital Association.
The DHS is reporting that 2,268 hospital beds are immediately available out of the 11,165 total beds.
The state has a supply of 1,834 ventilators with 234 in use, according to the DHS.
