WAUSAU, WI (WSAU) — A Gleason man is being held in the Marathon County Jail after he and a woman were found unresponsive in downtown Wausau in late April.
The Wausau Pilot and Review reports that Jeremiah Brooks, 40, and a woman identified as Dawn Christenson, 42, were found in the parking lot behind the Landmark Building on the ground and struggling to breathe on April 30. A bag of heroin was found nearby.
Wausau EMS workers revived the couple with Narcan but Brooks became combative and had to be restrained as he was loaded in the ambulance. He faces felony charges of reecklessly endangering safety, delivery of heroin and possession of narcotics. His next court appearance is May 13th.
