Chris Conley
Chris Conley joined WSAU in 2004 as News Director and morning news anchor. A year later he became Brand Manager for WSAU, and then Operations Manager for the Midwest Communications broadcast group in Central Wisconsin in 2009.
Chris began working in radio at 15, and is now in his 35th year of broadcasting. He’s worked most of his career in the northeast, in Connecticut, Long Island, and suburban New York City. Chris has been honored by The Associated Press and the broadcasters associations of Wisconsin, New York, and Connecticut for on-air excellence. Chris’ commentaries have won three best-in-state awards from the Wisconsin Broadcasters Association.
Chris’ newscasts are heard weekday mornings on the WSAU Wisconsin Morning News.
Chris is the writer and announcer of the ‘This Day’ feature, heard on WSAU and multiple radio stations across the Midwest.
During the school year, Chris is the play-by-play voice of DC Everest high school football, basketball, hockey, soccer and baseball on Fox Sports Radio. He was honored as play-by-play announcer of the year in 2014 by the WBA.
Chris has four children and lives in Wausau. In his spare time he enjoys live theater, writing, horses, and building model trains.
