STEVENS POINT, WI (WSAU) – Skyward, the educational software company based in Stevens Point, is planning to add 60 new jobs in the new year. USA Today-Wisconsin reports that about half of the jobs will be for software developers. The other positions will be in sales and customer support.
The Stevens Point Journal reports the increasing hiring is, in part, because of a software line that Skyward will offer in 2017 called Qmlatiy. It’s a human resources and financial management program for municipalities. Until now most of Skyward’s software had been targeted for schools and education use.
Skyward opened a new headquarters building off I-39 earlier this year. The company then consolidated workers from two separate offices into one. When the new hiring is complete more than 600 people will work at the facility. And the company tells USA Today that hiring increases are expected for several years to come.
