WITTENBERG, WI (WSAU-WAOW) The transportation director of the Wittenberg-Birnamwood School District was arrested after trying to arrange for sex with a 15-year-old girl who turned out to be an undercover police officer. 49-year-old David Yaeger of Wittenberg was charged with felony use of a computer to facilitate a child sex crime according to a criminal complaint.
In December Yaeger offered to meet at a casino, get a room and have some “real fun”. The message from the overcover officer said, “I am only 15. I am 125 and blonde.”
In a series of on-line messages Yaeger indicated he was married. Several of the messages were sexually explicit. He agreed to meet the girl and was arrested when officers showed up. While being arrested Yaeger them he had been “struggling” with a sex addiction for at least 15 years.
Yaeger appeared in Shawano County Court on Monday. He is now free on $5,000 signature bond while his case is pending.
