WAUSAU, WI (WSAU-WAOW) A stabbing suspect from Wausau is ordered to stand trial.
25-year-old Aidan Dobbe appeared at a preliminary hearing in Marathon County Court Wednesday morning. Prosecutors charged him with stabbing a 23-year-old man twice in the chest. The knife used in the attack was never found. Wausau PD Detective Anthony Rence said that the knife used was not in Dobbe’s possession not was it inside his car.
The judge was presented with evidence and decided to move on with the case and scheduled another hearing for later this month.
The stabbing incident happened at a bar in downtown Wausau in September. A witness told investigators that he saw the two men arguing outside the bar before the incident unfolded. The criminal complaint states a friend of Dobbe told police that the two were once “romantically involved.”
