MERRILL, WI (WSAU) — The Merrill Fire Department has hired a new firefighter/paramedic.
The department announced the hiring of Daylan Enkers on Monday morning. Merrill Fire Chief, Josh Klug, says this now brings the department back up to full strength, having seven firefighters/paramedics on every shift.
Enkers is a graduate of D.C. Everest High School. A badge pinning ceremony has been scheduled for June 14th at 11am at the Merrill Fire Station to formally add Enkers to the department.
Enkers becomes the 186th member of the Merrill Fire Department dating back to 1888.
