MILWAUKEE, WI (WSAU) — The Milwaukee Brewers organization will pay the members of their baseball operations staff for the full season whether games are played or not.
Jeff Passan and Jon Heyman were the first to report the news on Friday.
Top executives of the Brewers took pay cuts to allow everyone in the baseball department to remain employed and not be furloughed.
MLB management and the players association are currently exchanging proposals to start a shortened season sometime in July. Sticking points include COVID-19 protocols and how players will be paid for games with no fans in the stands.
