WESTON, WIS (WSAU-WAOW TV)– The DC Everest school district has announced it’s back to school plans for the 2020-2021 school year.
WAOW TV reports that the district will offer in-person, blended and virtual instruction options for students.
Elementary and 4K students will have in-person instruction and placed in cohorts. 4K will attend half-day classes and elementary schools full-day classes five days a week.
Secondary students will attend in-person and participate in remote learning.
- At DCE Middle School and Junior High, students will be divided into two groups. Group A will attend in person Monday, Wednesday and every other Friday. Group B will attend in person Tuesday, Thursday and every other Friday. On the days students are not in-person, they will participate in remote learning.
- At DCE Senior High, each student will have a “unique, flexible, in-person schedule based on the courses in which they are enrolled.” DCE teachers will schedule class sessions each week.
The Everest Virtual Academy will provide online learning for K-5 and 6-12 students who prefer an entirely virtual option. Registration is open until August 10.
Building principals will share additional details regarding the instructional models, as well as the district’s COVID-19 protocols in the coming weeks. The plans will be updated as needed and reviewed by the D.C. Everest School Board.
