COLOMA, WI (WSAU-WAOW) – One person is dead and two were injured when a semi-truck and car crashed in Coloma on Wednesday.
The Wisconsin State Patrol and Waushara County Sheriff’s Office reported that the semi was traveling southbound on County Road V and didn’t stop at the stop sign at the intersection of Highway 21. The semi, traveling at normal highway speed, crashed into an SUV traveling eastbound on Highway 21.
The driver of the SUV was pronounced dead at the scene. A female passenger was flown to UW-Madison in serious condition. The driver of the semi was also airlifted from the scene with undisclosed injuries.
No names are not being released at this time.
The Wisconsin State Patrol is investigating the crash.
