Keenan Alderman
STEVENS POINT, WI (WSAU) — A teen who was found guilty of making terroristic threats will spend just under 3 months in jail.
Tuesday afternoon 18-year-old Keenan Alderman was sentenced to 330 days in a local jail for a charge of making terroristic threats. Alderman is being credited with 246 days already served in jail during the time between his arrest and his sentencing hearing, making the rest of his prison sentence 84 days. Alderman was also sentenced to three years of probation for charges of criminal damages to property as a party to a crime, in a separate case.
A jail sentence of 6 months has been stayed for Alderman’s six counts of criminal damages to property. If he violates any terms of his probation over the 3-year probation sentence, Alderman will serve the initial sentence of 6 months. Terms of Alderman’s probation include paying restitution to all of the victims of the property damage, getting a job to pay back the victims, maintaining absolute sobriety, and not possessing any controlled substances without a prescription.
Alderman was accused of using a burner phone to call the SPASH main office in December of 2019 saying a bomb would go off at noon in the school. Alderman told police he had made the threat to get out of class that day.
