LA CROSSE, WI (WSAU) — The Wisconsin Woodchucks ended their Northwoods League season with two straight wins including a 7-6 victory at La Crosse on Thursday night.
Tom Josten was 2-4 with two RBIs and two runs scored. Nate Madej picked up the win in relief and Stevens Point native JD Schultz got the save.
The Woodchucks finish the shortened season with a record of 16-31.
The Wisconsin-Illinois pod playoffs begin tonight with Green Bay at Fond du Lac and La Crosse at Wisconsin Rapids. The two winners meet on Saturday for the championship.
