WAUSAU, WI (WSAU) — The 2020 Small Business of the Year winners have been announced by the Greater Wausau Chamber of Commerce.
During a virtual ceremony produced in cooperation with WAOW TV on Wednesday, LB Medwaste Services Inc, Wausau Smiles Dental, and K-Tech Charities Inc were honored as winners of their respective categories.
LB Medwaster Services won for the Business-to-Business category provides medical waste disposal and shredding services across the region. They have been in businesses since 1989, and operate out of the Wausau Industrial Park.
Wausau Smiles Dental won in the Business-to-Consumer category. Since 2014 they have grown their dental operations to more than 3,400 patients and has added quadrupled the size of their staff.
K-Tech Charities, winners in the Charitable/non-profit category, is the charitable foundation of K-Tech Cleaning and Restoration. They have donated more than one million dollars to local non-profits and charitable causes, while also donating volunteer hours to local causes as well.
A total of twelve businesses were nominated in the three categories. Other nominees included:
Business-to-Business category: Fully Promoted – Wausau.
Business-to-Consumer category: Buska Retirement Solutions Inc, Four Seasons Heating and Air Conditioning, Health in Motion, Tommy Dock Products LLC and Wausau Country Club Inc.
Charitable Non-Profit category: Achieve Center Inc, McLit: Marathon County Literacy Council Inc and The Open Door of Marathon County Inc.
