WAUSAU, WI (WSAU) — A former substitute teacher in both the Wausau and DC Everest school districts has been arrested for an inappropriate relationship with an underage boy.
In a statement Captain Ben Graham of the Wausau Police Department said that 50 year old David Faulkner has been arrested for charges including felony child enticement for a sexual relationship with an Antigo man who was 17 at the time of the alleged relationship earlier this year.
Graham also said in the statement that there is no evidence that Faulkner used his position as a substitute teacher or as a pastor at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Marshfield for the purpose of meeting younger males. It is also noted in a release by the school districts that the crimes did not involve any students from either Wausau or DC Everest schools.
Both the Wausau and DC Everest school districts have removed Faulkner from the substitute teacher rotation and the arrest has been reported to the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction for license revocation review.
The investigation is on-going and if you have information you are urged to contact Detective Jennifer Holz at Wausau PD.
