WAUSAU, WI (WSAU) – A former D.C. Everest High School teacher, accused of secretly filming female students, has been ordered to stand trial.
A judge in Marathon County court ruled that there is sufficient evidence against Travis Greil, 39, who is accused of “upskirting” 138 students while at school.
Greil was caught last February, when a student said she was recorded. She told police that Greil asked her to log into a computer on his desk. She claims while she bent over to type on the keyboard, Greil sat being her with an iPad on his lap where he likely recorded under her skirt.
An officer who investigated the allegations told the court that dozens of files were found on Greil’s personal devices, secretly recorded over a five year period. Court documents say Greil admitted to making the recordings when he was questioned by police.
He is charged with 13 counts of child exploitation, invasion of privacy, and possession of child pornography. Greil has been held in the Dane County Jail since being arrested, unable to post $20,000 cash bond.
He will enter a plea on November 4th.
