SPENCER, WI (WSAU) — A Fitchburg man has been arrested following a chase in a stolen vehicle.
According to a release from the Marshfield Police Department, on Tuesday morning around 9:21 members of the Spencer Police Department were pursuing a vehicle that had been stolen in Marshfield. Police followed the vehicle south on State Highway 13 into Marshfield.
Once in Marshfield members of Marshfield PD took over the pursuit. The suspect abandoned the car in the 1700 block of N Peach Avenue and fled on foot. He was taken into custody by officers a few moments later in the 1700 block of N Apple Avenue.
The suspect, a 36-year-old Fitchburg man, has outstanding warrants from Clark County on charges of 2nd-degree endangering safety for suffocation/strangulation, drug offenses, and driving offenses.
Charges of operating a motor vehicle without consent, OWI, hit and run, resisting arrest, fleeing from officers, and bail jumping is being requested by the Marshfield Police Department.
