STEVENS POINT, WI (WSAU) — The two victims of a single-vehicle crash in the Town of Almond have been identified.
Sheriff’s officials say Robert G. Hutkowski, 53, and Cory J. Methfessel, 42, were the lone occupants of the vehicle that split in two during the accident. Both men were airlifted to a nearby hospital as a result of their injuries.
Officials have confirmed that Hutkowski has died from his injuries. There’s been no update on Methfessel’s condition.
The crash occurred on December 30th. Investigators have said they believe speed and alcohol were factors, but it remains unclear if any charges have been filed in connection with the incident.
