GREEN BAY, WI (WSAU) — Packers QB Aaron Rodgers is set to return to the stage of one of his favorite TV game shows as a guest host.
During this week’s edition of the Pat McAfee Show, Rodgers announced he has been called in to host some episodes of Jeopardy! this off-season. Representatives from Jeopardy have declined comment, and Rodgers admitted in the interview that he may have let the cat out of the bag too early.
Long-time Jeopardy! host Alex Trebek died of cancer in November 2020 while still taping the show. His last episode has host aired earlier this month. Ken Jennings, who was recently crowned the game’s greatest champion of all-time in a special best-of-seven primetime series, has been announced as the first guest host.
It’s unclear when producers will name a new full-time, permanent host for the show.
Rodgers has long been a fan of the show, saying it was something he watched growing up and has continued to watch to this day. He appeared on a celebrity edition of the show in 2015 as a contestant and says getting the chance to host is a high honor.
