MADISON, WI (WSAU) — The University of Wisconsin men’s hockey team swept a pair of games from Arizona State including a 5-2 win on Sunday at LaBahn Arena.
Badger goals were scored by Lucas Weissbach, Cole Caufield and Mike Vorlicky giving Wisconsin a 3-2 lead. The Badgers added two empty net goals from Jason Dhooghe and Brock Caufield for the final score.
The Badgers, now 8-6 overall,will travel to Penn State on Thursday and Friday.
The Wisconsin women’s hockey team swept the #1 ranked Minnesota Gophers with a 6-3 win on Saturday. They had also beaten the Gophers 5-0 on Friday.
Wisconsin , now 6-2, will head to St. Cloud State this weekend.
