MERRILL, WI (WSAU) — A Lincoln County man was arrested for disorderly conduct and unlawful use of a telephone after he repeatedly called 9-1-1 dispatch last week.
Sheriff’s officials say the unidentified 45-year-old began calling dispatch Tuesday night to complain about an investigation that was being handled by an outside agency. After he didn’t get the answer he wanted the first time, he repeated the call more than 30 additional times over the next hour, oftentimes using profane language.
The man also faces a charge of resisting arrest in addition to disorderly conduct and unlawful use of a telephone.
It’s unclear what investigation the man was calling to complain about.
