TOWN OF LEBANON, WI (WSAU) — A two-vehicle crash in Waupaca County killed two people and injured one other Saturday.
Sheriff’s officials say a southbound vehicle was struck by an out-of-control northbound vehicle along Highway 45 near the intersection with Gielow Road.
Two people were pronounced dead at the scene by first responders. The third person was airlifted to a hospital by Eagle III helicopter.
According to the State DOT crash warning system, the incident closed down a portion of Highway 45 for several hours.
No further information including names of those involved has been released. It’s also unclear if speed, alcohol, or recent snowfall were factors in the incident.
