WAUPACA, WI (WSAU) — Police in Waupaca say a dead man found outside an unoccupied home was the owner of a vehicle the prompted an overnight investigation Saturday evening.
It started when officers responded to a report of a vehicle stuck in a snowbank behind a business. Officers say the headlights were still on and the passenger door was left open, but the owner was nowhere to be found.
Then Sunday morning officers were called to the home along Townsend Road for a report of a deceased male. They were able to confirm he was the owner of the car.
No further information including the man’s name and a possible cause of death, or if last weekend’s cold temperatures played a factor in the death, have been announced.
