WESTON, WI (WSAU) — We’re learning more today about a planned expansion at a hardwood flooring facility in Weston.
Tryggvi Magnusson, President of From the Forest LLC says his company plans to hire an additional 20-30 workers as part of a 62,000 square foot addition that will open this summer.
Magnusson adds that since From the Forest began production back in 2007 they have grown to sell flooring all across the United States. Ten years later they expanded their product offerings to include wall coverings, which have also been a success.
All that has added up to a need to expand their operating capacity.
The addition involves purchasing just under 4 acres of land from the village for just under $97,000. Magnusson says the addition itself will cost about $4-5 million.
Magnusson says the company has already started to move dirt on the portion of the land that they own, with plans to start construction on the land purchased from the village as soon as all permits and plans are approved.
A Grand opening is expected by July 1st.
