WAUSAU, WI (WSAU) — The Stratford man accused of killing two brothers then stealing a vehicle and leading authorities on a chase into Marshfield appears to have reached a plea deal with the prosecution in the case.
Brandon Noll appeared in Marathon County court on Wednesday where the parties announced they have reached an agreement. A plea hearing was then scheduled for April 26th at 2:30 PM.
He faces two charges of first-degree intentional homicide and driving a vehicle without the owner’s consent. He’s also accused of fleeing from officers.
The chase ended in Marshfield in Wood County, where he crashed the vehicle then stole another one before police caught up to him.
Noll, now 23, is accused of stabbing William and Michael Stone on April 7th, 2020. Michael was declared dead at the scene, William was transported to a hospital where he later died.
Officers say Noll admitted that the killings were premeditated and that he wanted to know what it would feel like to take a life.
A single charge of first-degree intentional homicide carries a mandatory life sentence on its own, with only the possibility of parole to be discussed at sentencing.
Noll also faces charges of hit-and-run in Wood County.
