MADISON, WI (WSAU) — For the first time in eight years, the Wisconsin women’s basketball team took down a top 15 ranked opponent, beating #12 Ohio State 75-70 on Wednesday night at the Kohl Center.
Imani Lewis led the Badgers with a career high 27 points and a game high 14 rebounds. Sara Stapleton also had a double-double with 13 points and 10 rebounds. Sydney Hilliard had 13 points and Estella Moschkau added 10.
The Badgers return to action Sunday at Minnesota.
The Wisconsin men’s basketball team beat Nebraska 61-48 on Wednesday night in Lincoln.
Jonathan Davis led the Badgers with 10 points. D’Mitrick Trice, Aleem Ford and Brad Davison added nine each.
Wisconsin, now 15-6, 9-5 in Big Ten, will host #3 ranked Michigan on Sunday.
