PORT EDWARDS, WI (WASU) — A retired Veteran from Port Edwards caught two lottery windfalls in two weeks.
Norman Fuller Jr. claimed two prizes at the Lottery’s office in Madison last week including a share of the Badger 5 jackpot from January 25th and a $50,000 Powerball prize from February 6th.
Fuller’s prize for the Badger 5 jackpot was $121,000. He was one of two players that day to hit the jackpot, the other being a Cedarburg woman.
The $50,000 Powerball win was for matching four white balls and the Powerball and is considered the game’s third prize. There were two other 3rd prize winners from that drawing; a Green Bay man and Greenville woman.
Both winning tickets were purchased at the Kwik Trip on 8th Ave S in Wisconsin Rapids. The store will receive $5,840 in bounties for selling the winning tickets.
Fuller says he is debt-free and plans to share the winnings with his family, while still trying his luck with the lottery now and then.
According to Wisconsin Lottery officials, the odds of one person winning both the Badger 5 jackpot and a 3rd prize in the Powerball drawing are one in 155 billion.
