WAUSAU, WI (WSAU) — A Milwaukee man was arrested in Marathon County after authorities found more than 75 grams of heroin in his possession.
Cory Spencer was caught by the Central Wisconsin Narcotics Task Force with 78.36 grams of the drug. According to officers he intended to sell it for distribution in the Wausau area.
Tests on the heroin found it was also laced with fentanyl. Officers estimate the street value of the drugs to be around $24,000.
Two other people were in the car with Spencer at the time of his arrest; a Milwaukee woman and her two-year-old girl. Officers arranged for them to be taken back to Milwaukee safely.
The drugs were “easily accessible” to both of them at the time of Spencer’s arrest.
The 22-year-old Spencer will be in Marathon County court Friday afternoon to face a charge of possession of heroin with the intent to deliver.
