WAUSAU, WI (WSAU) — A three-day jury trial has been scheduled for a man who allegedly hid a corpse in a hotel room in Marathon City
During a final pre-trial hearing Friday morning, a three-day jury trial was scheduled for Daniel Allen. Allen is facing one felony charge of hiding a corpse as a repeat offender. He pleaded not guilty to the charge during an arraignment hearing in February of 2020. The trial will run from September 13th until September 15th.
The charge against Allen stems from an April 2018 incident where the innkeeper of the Village Inn found the body of 28-year-old Brian Kienast in a closet in one of the hotel’s upstairs rooms. The body had been in the closet since November of 2017 when the victim died of an overdose.
