PORTAGE, WI (WSAU) — A Wisconsin Rapids woman was arrested by State Patrol officers on suspicion of her 6th OWI early Sunday morning.
Jessica Jackson was traveling the wrong way on Interstate 90/94 near Portage at around 2:30 AM. When officers attempted to pull her vehicle over, she fled.
Patrol Officers called in the Columbia County Sheriff’s Department and Portage Police who deployed spike strips to successfully disable the vehicle.
Jackson then failed a field sobriety test and was taken into custody.
Court records show the 41-year-old has more than 55 entries against her including numerous counts of possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia. OWI charges date back to 2000 when she picked up her 4th offense in Forest County.
According to a release from the State Patrol, there were other occupants in the vehicle, but it’s unclear if they will face any charges as well.
