EAST LANSING, MICH (WSAU) — The Wisconsin men’s hockey team shut-out Michigan State 4-0 on Friday night.
Tarek Baker, Jack Gorniak, Cole Caufield and Ty Pelton Byce had the Badger goals. Robbie Beydoun had 28 saves for his third career shut-out.
The Badgers, now 18-8-1, close out the regular season today with the Spartans…pre game show at 1pm on WSAU
For the third straight year, a Wisconsin women’s hockey player is the league’s top player as Daryl Watts was named the WCHA Player of The Year.
Watts won the WCHA scoring title thanks to a 31 point season with 15 goals and 16 assists.
Wisconsin faces Minnesota today in a WCHA semifinal at Ridder Arena in Minneapolis.
