IOWA CITY, IA (WSAU) — The Badger Men’s Basketball team will enter the Big Ten Tournament on the heels of a 77-73 setback at Iowa.
Micah Potter led all scorers with 25 points and two assists in 26 minutes off the bench. Brad Davison added 14 and Jonathan Davis scored 11.
Iowa out-rebounded the Badgers 36-28 with no Wisconsin player earning more than 10 boards.
It was Senior Day for the Hawkeyes on Mediacom Court at Carver-Hawkeye Arena which included an emotional goodbye for Center Luka Garza. He scored 21 points and grabbed 16 rebounds in the contest, then found out the school would be retiring his uniform number 55.
Garza is considered by many to be the frontrunner for the Naismith National Player of the Year award and a likely lottery pick in this Summer’s NBA Draft.
Michigan has clinched the #1 seed in the B1G Tournament presented by SoFi. Iowa will be the #3 seed while Wisconsin will enter in the second round on Thursday vs the winner of Nebraska-Penn State.
